Pandit Raghunath Murmu was an Indian Santali writer and educator. He developed the Ol Chiki script for Santali language. Until the nineteenth century, Santali people had no written language and knowledge was transmitted orally from one generation to other. He was also known "father of santali language".

3.Tilka Manjhi

Tilka Majhi was an Indian freedom fighter the first Adivasi leader from Santal Community. He took up arms against the British in the 1784, around 70 years before
Mangal Pandey. He organized the Adivasis to form an armed group to fight against the resource grabbing and exploitation of British.
In 1770, there was a severe famine in the Santhal region. People were dying of hunger. Tilka looted the treasury of the Company and distributed it among the poor and needy. Inspired by this noble act of Tilka, many other tribals also joined the rebellion.
4.Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu

Sidhu Murmu and
Kanhu Murmu were the leaders of the
Santhal rebellion (1855–1856), the rebellion in present-day Jharkhand and Bengal (Purulia,Birbhum and Bankura) in eastern India against both the British colonial authority and the corrupt zamindari system.
It is said that they were the first rebellion of india against the British Empire. 30 june is celebrating the "
Hul Maha" for remembering the sacrificed of the freedom fighters.
